Born in a community known as Leaf, near Cleveland, Georgia, Barron Pilgrim attended White County High School and Truett-McConnell College in Cleveland.  White County is a very beautiful area of scenic mountains and valleys in northeast Georgia.

Barron now lives in Columbia, South Carolina, still near the foothills of the Appalachians, where he enjoys the Southern lifestyle and its colorful people.

His first book, The Directions of Love, was a collection of romantic poems. Next was When You Went Away, focused on love, loss and emotions we all experience.

“Life is a series of partings,” says Barron. “Changes come along in everyone’s life for all sorts of reasons—from romance to death. This book reflects thoughts and feelings collected down through the past twenty years, which were torn from several notebooks.” Barron has became known as the OCEAN POET.

His newest book is God and Romance in Poetry, featuring current poems of experiences, feelings and beliefs. Coming out this spring will be two more collections, Poetry from Heaven, and Gone with the Ocean.

His book, Love for Valentines Day and Always, is a “forever gift book” of love poems. Among his other books are Miracles,Christmas Memories, Where Was God? When I Needed Him, and Obama—A Nation Divided. a non profit artwork.
